What Causes Eye Pain Developing At Night?
Hi I am writing in about my 85 year old mother, she is experiencing pain in her left eye. It is usually okay during the day with the pain worsening at night. She is also experiencing dry eye and by the end of the night her eye lid is completely closed, she has to actually lift her eye lid up to see. She has gone to her eye doctor, they have ruled out glaucoma, he is insisting it is just dry eye and has her on Refresh Liquigel drops and Systane night time eye lubricant. This has been going on for couple of months, any thoughts

I really appreciate your concern, it must be allergic condition and it can be managed with artificial tear drop with anti-histamine eye drops, and I could guess that it must have been give to her, it is better to continue it, if the symptoms does not improved then better to go to see the ophthalmologist, hope this information helps.
