Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
It s been three days and my eye just doesn t hurt stop hurting while blinking. My hasn t gotten red or anything(it looks normal) but if I touch my eye on the middle of my lower eyelid it hurts a lot. It isn t really the eyelid which hurts but I think it is a spot behind my eyelid. I ve searched in the Internet and it might be a stye but I m not sure if it is since there is no small spot or bump anywhere. My mother says it is because of overuse of my phone and that I shower right after I have played with it. Now she s saying that it s an eye cold from hot weather or something. But she s refusing to take me to an eye doctor. Even my family agrees with her.
Pain in eyes while blinking can be due to muscle fatigue, infection in the form of stye, conjunctivitis, etc. Is the pain associated with discharge? Pain in eyes is usually accompanied by discharge in cases of conjunctivitis. I suggest you to consult your ophthalmologist for clinical assessment, relevant investigations and thus management.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shailja Puri, Pathologist and Microbiologist
