What Causes Facial Hair Growth After Discontinuation Of Steroids?
Hi I am a 27 year old female. Stupidly did a course of steroids to build muscle I injected once a week for 6 weeks. I have coarse black hair growing on my face still after stopping a number of weeks ago and have had no period or signs of one, I am very worried. Will my body come back to normal after I m rid of the steroids is their any reversible medication??
Welcome to healthcaremagic.com. Sorry to read about your situation. The steroids are indeed responsible for your hair growth on your face including misses menses. Things should come back to normal after a little while. What has happened is that the steroids that you injected have messed with your hormonal balance which we call the HPA (Hypothalamic Pituitary Axis) in your pituitary which is responsible for hormone production and stimulation and also in your adrenal glands. I hope this answers your question. Good luck.
