What Causes Facial Sensitivity Along With Joints Pain?

my husband s right arm and face is sensitive to touch, and his limb feels cold to him but the skin does not feel cold. He has also been coughing and his joints are aching. There are two very small red bumps on his elbow, and we aren t sure if they could be bug bites, but they don t itch at all. Any idea what could be wrong?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

It is possible that he may have the flu.

The flu virus would cause coughing, muscle and joint pain and increased sensitivity. It can also be associated with a rash, called viral exanthem.

He may need to be assessed by his doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Michelle Gibson James, General & Family Physician
