What Causes Faecal Incontinence When Suffring From Ulcerative Colitis?
hi i am 59 year old male and i have been suffering from loose motions from past 1 month.i use to have loose motion before also but from few months i was feeling better and it stopped also. i am having ulcerative colitis and now i go so frequently to the loo ,it sometimes feel like coming i go n sit but nothing comes sometimes it comes but with burning sensation and with blood also. i am on prednisolon from almost few months and i have been taking pentasa also for many years.but now i am feeling very weak and tired i have consulted many doctors but the problem is stil same. can u please help me in what should i do more

Ulcerative colitis is a notorious disease known for recurrences, this looks to be due to recurrence. Noted that you are already taking Pentasa, prednisolone yet the problem persists.
This indicates the following:
Go for stool tests for three consecutive days.
Tests of blood for diabetes and thyroid problems.
Colonoscopy and biopsy to know the exact diagnosis.
CT scan of the abdomen to know the exact problems.
This will guide for proper diagnosis and management.
You may need elevation of dosages and/or addition of more medications.
Take care to know the foods and beverages that increase your problems and stop them altogether.
Take Probiotics, multivitamins, particularly the Vitamin A and D supplements as per the reports.
