What Causes Faint Positive Pregnancy Test After Taking Misoprostol?

Had a medical abortion on March 29th heavy bleeding for 2 weeks had another heavy period that started on May 21st - may 29th took mistoperal to soften my cervix for iud placement when I went for my app they got a very faint positive pregnancy test, could I be pregnant or is it left over hormones from my early pregnancy?

Misoprostol can affect pregnancy test results for several weeks after its use, as it may cause the levels of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) - the hormone detected by pregnancy tests - to remain elevated. This can result in a false positive pregnancy test.
