What Causes Fainting After A Cardiac Bypass Surgery?
husband out of the hospital 2 days had aortic valvhe replacement, open heart with atrial bypass experienced same sympton as prior to surgery, fainting but not fully unconcious because heard that I was calling his name/takes metropolol 25mg every 6 hours but blood pressure average 145/95 or so/taking mediation as well for a-fib which he did in the hospital have cardiac shock which did hold beat in the hospital
Aortic bypass can cause fainting episodes because the blood coming out of the aortic valve is insufficient for the body to provide its metabolic activity. Hence post bypass graft or valve replacement, it takes time to adopt to the pumping capacity and cause these episodes. AFib is secondary to that too.Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
