Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My husband had his tooth extracted 2 days ago while eating dinner my husband passed out and hit his head and went into a seizure then passed out again I called the ambulance and they did an MRI at the hospital and an EKG and a cat-scan I need to know what cause my husband to pass out this is not him he's an MMA fighter perfectly healthy and I feel like it could possibly have been a dry pocket please help me find out what's wrong with him I'm scared every time he moves that he's going to pass out
I have gone through your query and can understand your complain. As per your complain dry socket is an unhealed socket and becomes symptomatic at least 5 to 7 days after tooth extraction and even if it occurs it is not seen to cause fainting or throwing up. Secondly it can also occur due to side effect or anaphylactic reaction to any medication. Last but not the least it can be related to some disorders with the brain.
So as you have already been investigated it will be better to get proper evaluation done by a Neurologist. As far as Dry socket is concerned it is not the cause.
Hope this helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Honey Arora
