What Causes Fainting, Dark Circles Under Eyes And Back Pain?

My 8 yr old daughter fainted for a few seconds today after becoming dizzy and turning pale. I thought she may be dehydrated from being in the sun a lot this past week. I gave her electrolytes and she is better however, she has dark circles under her eyes and is saying her back (mid-side) hurts. Should I be concerned? Could this be something major?

Hi,

>> Dark circles under eyes for kids are sign of over exposure to sun and dehydration. So you did a great job giving her electrolyte.
>> Feeling faint and skin pallor (pale skin) can be caused by a number of conditions including dehydration, heat exhaustion, and anemia.
Advice - Have her Hemoglobin checked at her pediatrician's office.
>> Middle back pain may be caused by: Overuse, muscle strain, or injury to the muscles, ligaments, and discs that support your spine.

Advice - I will not be much concerned unless I see some injury marks or child does complain for the same after 2 days. Try giving he some over the counter pain medication age suitable doses ( Tylenol / ibuprofen) and see it the pain subsides. For any visible injury marks please attain them as needed or have them checked by physician if you feel worrisome.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
