Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Fainting While On Clindamycin And Bactrim?
I have been taking clindamycin and Bactrim for about 6 days now. I have fainted once and had another episode 2 days laters after being seen at the ER and everything checked out ok. I have been taking them together at night and my episodes happen in the early morning. I am also experiencing bad stomach aches.
I read carefully your query and understand your concern.
Yoru symptoms seem to be related to side effects of Clindamycin and Bactrim. Stomach pain is a common side effect. I suggest using a gastro protector such as Omeprazole 20 mg daily in the morning before breakfast. I also suggest to avoid food that can trigger the symptoms. The antibiotics should be taken with food.
Hope my answer was helpful.
If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.
Kind regards!
