What Causes Fainting While On Lisinopril?

I m taking Lisinopril, and I had an episode where I passed out in the bathroom at night for no apparent reason, and I think it s from this medication. I woke up on the bathroom floor and didn t know what happened. I am healthy other than slightly elevated blood pressure and had just recently started taking this medication, which I believe was the cause. What should I do?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

You should go immediately to check this out with your cardiologist. You need to redo EKG, echocardiogram and stress test. Plus, monitor your blood pressure (BP) and record the results to pass to your doctor. Might need to change therapy.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
