Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Fast Breathing And Nausea After Unusual Exertion?
After unusual exertion , heavy fast breathing, nausea , passes as soon as I sit and slow my breathing. I have controlled high blood pressure, asthma. I am 80 lbs overweight. I am trying to figure out if this feeling is just due to using stomach muscles very out of shape or signs of heart issues.
You mentioned that the symptoms seem to occur after you exert yourself unusually or more than normal.
With a history of the medical issues mentioned in your question, this is not an unusual occurrence. When a person exerts above their norm, this can occur.
You should try to continue your physical activity but if you want to make sure that you are clear for exercise and activity, you can consider seeing your doctor and having an assessment done. This would include an ECG.
I hope this helps
