What Causes Faster Heartbeat And Pressure In Chest?

I had a baby july3rd by unplanned csection. Had a seizure after it. Found out I have preeclampsia. I still am seeing spots. And now it seems like my heart is beating fast and I feel pressure in my chest and feels werid to breath. Not sure what it could be.

hi,
have you noted how fast is your pulse rate during the episodes, how long the episodes persist.
Before you treating empirically we need to confirm the diagnosis. First try to measure your heart or pulse during episodes and also blood pressure. If possible ecg during episodes will be very beneficial. Then of this not possible then get a holter attached if your episodes are frequent.
Last option is electrophysiological studies which will diagnose and treat the condition.
However if you are not breast feeding the infant then I would have prescribed tab ciplar LA 20 mg to my patient in clinic.
Also try to cough hard, pour cold water on face or blow hard against closed nostril and mouth during the episodes.
