What Causes Fatigue Along With Itching And Redness In The Thighs?

Hello, I am a 58 old, white male. I was sick last week with a cold, not a bad one. Started on Thursday, i worked 12 hours on that day and Friday, Saturday worked 8 hours. Rested Sunday as felt better. I have been feeling tired lately unless I am working then i am motivated to do my job. Sunday afternoon started to itch on my thighs and was getting red. Sunday night I awoke to my legs and arms and torso being hot and red and itchy. I am allergic to animals like dogs. MY daughter lives in my house and has two dogs. I am very careful around them, as far as touching them. I thought maybe my pajama bottoms might have got some dog dander on them, and I was sleeping in my pajamas trying to stay warm. I stripped the sheets from bed and took pajamas off. I kept waking up as my skin was itch and hot. Monday i took some benadryl and went to work. Got home and my back and chest and thighs and upper arms were itch and on fire. Took cold shower and was better. Today my hands and feet are red and on fire. Any thoughts

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As a first line management, you can apply low potency steroid creams like betamethasone for symptomatic relief. If the lesion persists, it is better to consult a dermatologist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Shinas Hussain,
