Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Fatigue Along With Joint Pain And Body Chills?
I have been experiencing extreme tiredness, joint pain, nocturnal fever, although chills during the day. My blood work shows low RBC count. I have also been a diabetic for 14 years and still have troubles keeping my A1C in check....i don t believe this has anything to do with my diabetes though. My white blood cells are only slightly higher than normal.
I think your situation is more related to diabetes than to low red blood cells count. The problem is peripheral neuropathy which is peripheral nerve damage caused by constantly elevated sugar levels.
You may benefit from taking Gabapentine or Lyrica. The nocturnal fever and day cills are not related to that. Hormone disbalance may be a cause or elevated thyroid hormone levels.
Hope I have answered the question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka,
