What Causes Fatigue Along With Pain In The Sternum?

I have been having much weakness and fatigue, and have had heart stress tests and carotid artery ultrasound, and both came back fine. But I find I still get winded with much exertion, and lately been experiencing some minor sharp pains in my breastbone, sternum. Could I have a virus in my lungs or maybe an infection? What does this sound like to you? I cannot afford to pay for this service.

Hi,

I got your chief complaint. There can be several possible reasons for this are a heart problem, acid reflux, anemia, any gastrointestinal disorder and chest infection.

All these problems can cause pain in the chest, difficulty in breathing, fatigue and lack of energy.

I have some questions for you:
Do you smoke?
Did you suffer from diarrheas?
Do you have any problem in the stomach?
What is your gender (male or female) and age?
Are you taking any drugs?
Do you feel pain on walking or exertion and do you feel it during the night?
Has it any relationship with your food?

Whether you answer back or not I suggest you get yourself checked by a physician so that any cause can be found and addressed accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Soheel Hussain Zargar,
