What Causes Fatigue And Dizziness After A Head Injury?

Should I seek medical attention if I smacked my head on a car door which resulted in shooting pain and dizziness for only a few seconds? This was an hour ago and I now have a sore head (not quite a headache) and occasional mild dizziness that could also be described as feeling very tired?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi ! I have gone through your questions and I understand your concern .

I would say that these are normal symptoms of a minor head injury with no brain damage that will resolve in few days .
But I suggest that if you have any of these symptoms or if you will have in further days , you should go to the hospital :
- loss of consciousness.
-Vomiting
-Worsening headache
-Dizziness with most of balance .
-general weakness
-sleepless or convulsion
-problem reading or talking
-irritability
-visual problem like:blurred vision or double vision
-loose of .use of any part of the body:weakness in arm or legs , numbnes, tingling.
-any sign of bleeding from nose or ear.
In this case they will do a CT of your head to see any brain damage .

Hope these help!
