My 84 year old mother has been anemic since childhood. She also had quinine poisoning 10 years ago which caused a fainting episode at that time. She is type II diabetic with high blood pressure, but does not follow her dietary intake as she should with those conditions. Her afternoon blood sugar levels spike at times to 215 from a morning reading of about 120. She also has sick sinus syndrome, but her heart tests results are good. Her friends have mentioned she may have pre-cancerous leukemia, and she is too frightened to visit a doctor. Her appetite is very good, she does not run a fever, she does not get headaches, but she does get tired and complains her head feels like it's in a cloud. I think this is normal for an 84 year old with diabetes and high blood pressure, but would like your opinion please.
