What Causes Fatigue And Pain In The Bones?

I have been exhausted almost constantly the last couple of days. Most of today my wrist hurt, in the soft tissue not like aching bones, very badly and now the inside of my elbow hurts. I had some tightness in my chest Saturday morning but I d had a really rough night emotionally and it went away as the day progressed. I am on well Bupropion and my dosage was just increased from 70 mg twice a day (I think. I don t know if it s just the exhaustion but my thinking seems slower, for lack of a better term) to 100 mg twice a day. I began that Saturday afternoon so the change doesn t explain the chest tightness or the exhaustion I felt that morning. The exhaustion did not last all of Saturday but it hit me hard again Sunday and pretty much hasn t left. Also, I m more sensitive to sound but that could just be the exhaustion too.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Commonly exhaustion with pain is seen in patients going through stress, anxiety (physical & emotional), sedentary lifestyle, lack of regular exercise, use of drugs, alcohol, smoking, nicotine, caffeine, etc. Stay away from anxiety-stress & addictions if any.

Others factors are an underlying un-diagnosed untreated illness like diabetes, heart disease, thyroid issues, clinical depression, sleep apnea, anxiety disorder, poor sleep (lack of adequate sleep).

You are suggested to take rest for a few days before that visit ER, get physically examined(get a thorough medical check-up done), get all required investigations(blood tests & Imaging tests) done.

For pain take Acetaminophen (Tylenol) when required. Your treatment will depend upon the pathology detected. In the meantime switch on to healthy diet & healthy lifestyle.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
