What Causes Fatigue And Pain In The Lower Abdomen After Laparoscopy?

I had da Vinci laparoscopic surgery for stage 1 endometrial cancer 8 months ago. No further treatment was considered necessary. Fully recovered with slight fatigue for a few months. The past month, I have had dull pain in my lower abdomen and right groin pain. Also a return of fatigue. Wondering what is the source of these new symptoms and should I be concerned?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

As the procedure was curative in stage I had fine recovery, there are very less chances of similar issue at present. My guidelines at present:

- Anti-spasmodic medication for pain relief.
- Recheck of tumor markers, vagina swab test and CT scan of the abdomen & pelvis.
- Correction of any underlying anemia, vitamin deficiencies, etc.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
