hello, i can understand your concern. i would like to know your friends age and any history of hyertension or other heart diseases. it seems based on your history your friend is having left hemiplegia. kindly share the ct scan report of your friend for further evaluation. also i would require the list of medications he has been using. i would also advise a serum electrolytes for your friend, an imbalance of which can also be a cause for further weakness. the treatment is usually supportive.these include drugs to control hypertension if blood pressure is raised. neuro protective agents like piracetam and citicholine are used. in case of an infarct blood thinning drugs like aspirin and clopidogrel are prescribed to prevent clots(contra indicated in case of bleed) care should be taken to prevent bed sores.
