What Causes Fatigue And Weight Gain For A 59-year-old?

Truth is been to 6 dr an no one can tell me why I am extremely exhausted, and have gained 50lbs. Cant exercise any more it puts me to sleep for at least 2 hours. Cholestol is high, i have horrible reactions. I quite takin any thing. I am a nutricianist. I eat very well. I don t eat junk I try to get plenty of water. My legs hurt my hair is not as thick my heart palpatates, skin is dry, I am grumpy ( not me at all). I am puffy, I am in Tull pain all over get weird head aches. This last 5 years have been a night mare. No one will take me serious enough to listen. I am 59, I asked for a full panel on thyroid since it runs in my family. They did tsh, t3. That is not a full panel. So what do they do check my b12 of which is very good. then proceed to tell me it s menopause an normal for my age. I cry foul. I had no trouble with menopause no night sweat nothing I just stopped. I am not a complainer I know my body I listen and something isn t right. They will not refer me to an endrocronoligist. Said its in me head. Now you know why I am on here desperate for answers.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The fatigue and weight gain are in concern with hormone imbalance which may be related to diabetes, hypothyroidism, menopausal changes or else. Unless there is associated binge eating disorder, weight gain is not normal from head origin, there must be definite reason for the same and must be evaluated in thorough details.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
