What Causes Fatigue, Shortness Of Breath And Nausea?
I am type 1 diabetic, and for about 2 wks I have been feeling very fatigued, shortness of breath, and nauseated. I threw up yesterday, but got no relief. I have been in bed for 4 days, only having cups of chicken broth, and diet 7up. No appetite. I am taking my insulin as required. Last night had severe leg pain, and hot flashes all night. I am 55yrs old, caregiver for mom with Alzheimers, lost my job after 16yrs, now have no health insurance. Going through horrible depression. I need some relief please guide me in right direction!
The symptoms you have mentioned may be due to the following reasons: 1) Diabetic ketoacidosis as you have been type 1 diabetic 2) Uremia or kidney failure
Most importantly you need to get examined in person. Both of the above causes are dangerous and please consult a physician as soon as possible. It has already been 2 weeks and please do not neglect anymore. Few investigations are necessary to come to the right diagnosis and appropriate treatment.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Pallavi M., Anesthesiologist
