What Causes Fatigue While Suffering From Abdominal Abscess?
After I took my mother to ER for abdominal pain they took CT scan and said their was an abscess in area where rectum and part of colon had been removed due to surgery years ago. At another hospital they decided not to do anything about abscess but said she had a small intestine blockage. This resolved with antibiotics and rest of bowels. However for some time now she has had malaise and general feeling of unwellness. Could this be because of abscess?
In my opinion, the abscess secondary to surgery is an infected abscess. You should get it treated with antibiotics. And you said she has already received antibiotics.
Fatigue, malaise patient can develop because she wasn't able to eat properly during this period. Seeing a doctor in person is very important in all these conditions.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
