What Causes Fatigue While Treating Gout In The Left Ankle?
My husband was recently diagnosed with gout in his left ankle, he continues to experience fatigue & tiredness. His doctor did not run a blood test at the time, I am very concerned that he continues to experience symptoms after 2 weeks, what do you suggest please?
Fatigue in gout can be due to anaemia/vitamin or mineral deficiency/complications of gout on kidney/associated autoimmune disease.
I advise investigations blood haemogram, blood test for RA factor, liver function tests, kidney function tests, blood glucose for diabetes.
There is no need to worry. It can be managed by iron and vitamins supplementation. Keep follow ups with your doctor for gout treatment. Have adequate intake of green leafy vegetables and fruits.Have Plenty of fluids.
Thanks.
