Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Feeling Of Passing Out And Loss Of Hearing In Left Ear?
I have been experiencing feeling faint, like I m going to pass out and I have lost most of the hearing in my left ear. I have been to the doctor and ruled out an inner ear imbalance, infection, medications or wax build up. What else could be causing these symptoms and what should I do?
You need an audiogram and a tympanogram to rule out the ear as the cause of the hearing loss. If these show that the hearing loss is not related to the ears you will need a thorough neurological exam to rule out any brain lesions and possibly a brain scan (CT or MRI).
I hope this answers your query. I remain at your disposal in case further medical assistance is needed.
Regards, Dr. Antoneta Zotaj, General and Family Physician
