What Causes Feeling Of Plugged Ear After A Tooth Extraction?

Hello,

I just had a lower right side wisdom tooth removed on Tuesday morning. The pain is subsiding greatly, however I woke up this morning with my ear feeling plugged. No pain in the ear at at just annoying plugged feeling. Is this part of the healing process?

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi, some abnormal sensation in the region post tooth extraction is not unusual and gets over in few days. But delayed plugged feeling in ear can be because of an ear infection or a Eustachian tube blockade which may or may not be related to the tooth extraction. Please get an ENT examination done. Otherwise nasal decongestant drops help in opening of eustachain tube and will give some relief. Regards
