Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 15 year old niece feels like she has sometingstuck in her throat. Its been 3 hours since she ate. She is breathing fine and fine in every other way. She says this has happened in the past and is a common issue. She is not in pain but very misermiserable.
If she has eaten or had something to drink since that time then it is not likely that the food is still stuck in position. In most cases, the feeling of the food being stuck remains because of minor injury to the area.
The use of anti inflammatory pain killers such as ibuprofen or naproxen may help.
I hope this helps
