General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

You need to be clinically examined to locate any foreign body such as tampons in the vagina.Retained tampons or pessaries may build up infections and also cause sepsis. Kindly avoid self medication and visit your gynecologist for further treatment. You may require a course of antibiotics to prevent infections.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Saranya Ramadoss, General & Family Physician
