What Causes Feelings Of Depression In A Child?

I have a friend who is going to a psychologist, and she is blaming it all on me saying how much I hurt her of something that happened almost a year ago, she's 14 going on 15 in July, she must be about 140lbs and her height is 5'4". She says she's tired of her life and everything, people say she's just calling for attention but I believe there's something more to it. I just wanted to know if you guys could help

IF SHE HAS NOT RECOVERED EVEN NOW FROM SOMETHING WHICH HAD APPARENTLY HURT HER A YEAR BACK THEN WE HAVE TO THINK OF CLINICAL DEPRESSION. THE SYMPTOMS U HAVE MENTIONED ARE TYPICAL OF DEPRESSION OF MODERATE SEVERITY.
ALSO YOU NEED TO LOOK INTO HER COPING ABILITIES OR SKILLS.ASK THE PSYCHOLOGIST TO ASSESS HER COPING SKILLS. IF SHE CAN NOT HANDLE THE HURTS OR UPS/DOWNS WHICH MOST PEOPLE CAN HANDLE SHE NEEDS TO BE EQUIPPED WITH COPING ABILITIES.
I SUGGEST 20 MG OF FLUOXETINE ONCE A DAY. IMPROVEMENT CAN BE EXPECTED IN 2-4 WEEKS. KINDLY FOLLOW UP WITH A PSYCHIATRIST
