What Causes Feet Swelling In A Person With Arrhythmic Heart Beat?

Hello, I notice quite a while that my feet getting a little bit swollen at the end of the afternoon in daily basis, I use contraceptive pill, and I work in a office environment not standing. I m 35 years old and also have heart arrhythmia. What could be causing my feet to be swell?

Well the symptoms you mention in query are pointing towards a condition like atrial fibrillation . The symptoms can also occur due to organ failure like kidney failure . I would suggest you to consult cardiologist without any delay for proper diagnosis . Doctor may order certain test like ECG and examine with stethoscope . Doctor may prescribe treatment for restoring your ventricular rate. Beta blockers, like Atenolol, Carvedilol, Propranolol, and others can slow the heart rate. Calcium channel blockers, such as Verapamil, are another class of drug used to slow the beating of the ventricles . Doctor may also refer you to nephrologistfor kidney problem. For now take proper rest and do not exert your body .
