What Causes Fever After Taking Measles Vaccine In Children?
Hi Doctor,My son is now 9 months old and We have given Measles vaccine yesterday. But after 3 hours my baby is running with very high temperature 103 to 104 F. We gave P-125 three times but fever was not controlled. We have visited doctor and he suggested Meftal-P two times a day (1 ml each time).My question is is this fever is common after the vaccination? We are very much worried about his condition.

Measels vaccine given to children at 9 month of age.
Measels vaccine is live attenuated vaccine. It contain live virus which can produce infection but can not produce disease. It is for antibody production.
So after taking vaccine there is infection of virus that's why child get fever. So it is normal.
