What Causes Fever Along With Body Ache And Stomach Ache?

I am inquiring for an ill friend. He is 53 and somewhat heafty. He came upon the sniffles quickly today and now he has a fever (not sure how high) his body aches at a level from 1-10 at a 20. He says his spine also hurts, stomach somewhat achy and he is only breathing through his mouth. Just wondering if sleeping it off is all well and good or if he should seek medical attention immediately. I was wondering if meningitis could be an issue.

Hello,

Get him physically examined & evaluated for the factor causing him discomfort with such symptoms.

He should have CBC, Urinalysis done to rule out influenza, typhoid, malaria, etc. For fever & body ache, he can take acetaminophen(Tylenol) & antibiotics (Doxt-100mg) under a consultant.

Help him stay hydrated & let him have home made food. Neglect may result in further worsening of the symptoms, so get him treated at the earliest.
