What Causes Fever Along With Chest Congestion And Constipation?

My daughter is 2 years old. SHe was running a fever doctors said switch motrin and tylonel. She got better but was not eating the same. Also became congested every so often throwing up alot of mucus. She was going potty before hand. Now.she no longer goes potty on the toilet. She was having a hard time pooping. Probably from not eating properly i assume. tonight her poop was a sandy color first it was solid the second time.it was a little solid but then became liquid and again was that sandy color. Just wondering if I should be concerned.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

I think she is suffering from Allergic rhinitis. Maybe she needs to take an antihistamine like Benadryl syrup.

Constipation may be related to non-proper eating and dehydration. Try to give her liquids and also meet a pediatrician allergologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka
