what infectious disease shows sings and symptoms of fever with chills, cough and myalgiasand days was recommeded to do ppd text and before it was read the hemotology lab observed tick and thin blood flims showing multiply rings in some of the red blood cells, this person was in africa woking for over six months

Most common disease that presents like this and has microscopic features like that specially in some one who visited africa is Malaria, it is simple to treat if diagnosed and treatement now a days takes just 3 days and 6 pills to be taken. I would suggest that the patient should get a proper diagnosis to be made and treatement started immediately this will make things settle quickly and without causing any malaria related complications.
