What Causes Fever Along With Cough, Vomiting And Chest Pain?

Hello. Good evening I started to feel off roughly two days ago, then yesterday evening I spiked a fever, started coughing, threw up a couple of times and today I have sharp chest pains when I cough (I am not coughing much, but the pain is so sharp it nearly brings me to my knees). Do you think I should go in to be seen?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

The symptoms you are experiencing is likely to be viral illness. Recurrent coughing can be associated with chest pain due to strain to the chest muscles. However, it is important to get chest X-ray done to rule out pneumonia. Meanwhile, stay hydrated and take Tylenol for fever/pain.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
