What Causes Fever Along With Fatigue And Itchy Rashes On The Neck?

My husband, (with no other health conditions) 59, had body aches, fever of 100.9 for 5 days, fatigue, head congestion and cough, red raised itchy rash on neck, and shoulders. Fever is down now and congestion is better, but still has rash and significant fatigue. Is this something to be concerned about or just a virus with a slow recovery?

The narrated condition is from the acute viral infection with possible bacterial component. Need precise care with anti viral, antibiotic, anti inflammatory, anti-histamine medications with local steroid cream applications to cure the rash faster.
