General & Family Physician 's  Response
dear
I understand we are having a prolonged fever which is high grade.Continuous head ache, rightly a spinal tap has been done to rule out possibility of meningitis.
meanwhile please staycalm, increase the amount of fluids in his diet with proper nutritive diet. His room should be calm as the head ache might exaggerate with bright light or sound .pleaseconsole him, not to worry and continue the prescribed medications along with antipyretics.
He might be advised for a hospitalisation instead,so plz dont worry and let the treatment continue, many a times fever and all will settle down after a prolonged treatment without any cause, hence being called puo or pyrexia of unknown origin.
so hope for the best
welcome for further queries
