What Causes Fever Along With Itching On The Palms?

In FLORIDA so can t call our pediatrician today. 8 yr old son had a slight fever 2 days ago, yesterday was still tired but activity mostly back to normal. Just woke me up complaining that his hands and feet are itching. Palms of hands have red spots all over and some are swollen. Feet have very few red spots. Says his body feels weird, indescribable but kind of cold?
