What Causes Fever And Blisters On Upper Legs?

For almost a year now my sister had been getting a slight fever and then large blisters on her upper legs. This happens about every 6 to 8 weeks. Then they start to drain and it smells like rotting flesh. A dermatologist told her he s never seen anything like it.

She may have herpes zoster infection which is recurrent but it can happen only in person who is immunocompromised. but it is extremely painful and itchy.
you may consult another dermatologist.
