What Causes Fever And Chills With Neck And Back Pain?

I ve got fever and chills, feeling cold. My neck and back hurt more than usual (I have neck and back injuries/ problems for years) no new injury. Is this a flu or something else? I ve also just finished (about a week ago) antibiotics for kidney infection. I m a male, age 55 I take Alloprinol and Levithroxin.

Hi,
It seems that you might be having viral fever giving rise generalized bodyache, fatigue and lithargy producing back and neck pain.
This fever might be due to kidney infection you had before not cured fully.
Take paracetamol or ibuprofen for fever and pain.
Take plenty of water and keep well hydrated.
Take complete rest.
Ok and take care.
