What Causes Fever And Excessive Sweating In A Child?
My 1 year old has been having a fever consistently since yesterday. Highest of 102. She is much more cranky than normal and now, while sleeping she is sweaty, clamy and cool with a temp of 97. Should I be concerned? She had her immunizations Sept 29th.

Hello,
Such heavy sweating and lowered body temperature are often seen in children who had a bout of infection recently. Generalised body weakness is the commonest cause for this.
You need to monitor the child for any high-grade fever or hypoglycemia. Give him glucose drinks.
He needs medical help in case there is any tachycardia- fast pulse or the high rise of temperature.
