What Causes Fever And Fatigue After Dialysis In The Elderly?
My father n law, who is 90.5, has been started on dialysis due to a Egfr of 9. He is a diabetic with controlled hypertension. My question is why would the doctor start him on this at such an advanced aged. He already had episode of a fever and fatigue with one week of dialysis.

His kidneys are not functioning and dialysis is the only way to sustain the life even though it has got risks considering the age. If he is experiencing fever, the antibiotic cover must be required.
