Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Around one month back I developed slight fever and some irritation in the throat which is felt more in the night during sleep, as if something is sticking to the throat lining. Fever lasted only for about 5 days but thoeat problem persists. In addition, for the past 5 to 6 days, soarness is felt on the inside surface of lips as if they are burnt by hot liquids. It may be noted that, during routine master health check (around 45 days back) slight deficiency in Vitamin B12& B6 was noticed. Is it due to dry mouth syndrome or viral infection
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of fever and irritation in the throat which seems to be due to viral infection by herpes. I would suggest you to take proper preventive measures. You should avoid intake of oily, spicy and sharp food. Avoid intake of cold carbonated beverages. You should take combination of anti inflammatory medications along with antibiotics such as Ciprofloxacin. Visit ENT specialist once and get it examined. You should get these lab investigations and x-ray done to find out exact cause of your condition and start treatment accordingly.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
