What Causes Fever And Nausea Despite Taking Tylenol?

Hi,I felt feverish last night and took some Tylenol and went to bed. I ate a small breakfast and felt nauseous all day. Threw it all up and 1 pm and 2 dry heaved. Then slept two hours. At dinner I was freezing with chills so.I took my temp in my ear canal and it was 96.3. Does this sound like something chronic or just bacterial/viral? the low temp worried me. Plus I never throw up.

Hello thank you for writing us here.
You must see your doctor and change the medication. You should take paracetamol or ibuprofen instead because tylenol has more side effects.
I highly suggest you to stop the medication NOW and change to PCM.
the side effects could go worst like jaundice or severe abdominal pain with diarrhoea. And for your symptoms, its more likely to be bacterial because of the frequent chills. I would suggest you to go for Antibiotics. Augmentin 625 would do good. Take 2 tab per day for 7 days and PCM taken twice for 7 days, you'll feel better as the course ends.
