What Causes Fever And Poor Recovery From Typhoid Despite Taking Medication?
Hi , I am saad Sheikh.My son age of 9 years was suffering from Typhoid and after the treatment of inflatables of 2gm of antibiotic daily recovered well.But now after two weeks of the treatment he again have a temperature/fever as he still has the typhoid infection in his blood plz suggest and guide that if it is again the same infection fever or any else infection. thanks

Hello,
The two-week course of antibiotic is enough time to kill bacteria. But if you still have persistent fever than typhoid bacilli might not clear completely.
So I suggest you investigate with stool culture report to check whether typhoid bacilli present or not.
If bacilli still present than antibiotic course need to be given again according to culture report.
