My son is 19 months old and had a fever for the late 2 days re a ching 101.6 F. And now starting today he has a rash all over the back of his legs and some on his butt. They are very red bumps and some seem to be opening. They don t seem to be itchy. Wondering if I should bring him in?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms of your child seem to be related to a viral infection. The rash can be a viral rash.

I suggest to give him Tylenol for the fever. I also recommend to give him liquids. If the symptoms continue for more than three days you may consult a pediatrician for further evaluation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
