My three year old got hit in the temple with a open had smack from a larger child. Mind it wasn t on purpose but I think the little girl had a ring on. This was two days ago now my child has a 101.1 fever and started vomiting at 3:30 am this morning and stopped at 5 am. She hasn t eaten much but played fine just has the fever. Should I be concerned?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

One episode of vomiting can be ignored however, if your child has vomited more than twice then I would advise you to consult the doctor immediately. Fever may be a coincidental finding or a bodily reaction to the assault.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Anoop Kumar, General & Family Physician
