I think I have a bladder infection but I have been on an antibiotic for going on four days and I still feel pretty bad. I am tired, feel full kinda nausious, fever, back pain. Is there something else like this that I might have instead of bladder infection. It doesnt hurt to pee, and my urine seems normal

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
Bladder infection could cause the symptoms you feel but less likely since you do not have any urinary symptoms. However, a urinalysis only can exclude it.The symptoms you present are not specific and could be caused by many medical conditions most of which are infectious.I suggest you get a blood culture and sensitivity test since the germ causing the symptoms might not be responding to the the antibiotic you are taking. Also, a malaria test should be done if any exposure to mosquitoes.
Best regards
