What Causes Fever, Body Pain And Diarrhea?

My boyfriend has chills, fever, body aches, headache, diarreah, and a temperature of 102.4. We just returned from a trip to Puerto Rico. At first, he thought maybe it was food poisoning or that he had drunk too much of the local water. Now, we think it sounds more like the flu.

As per your complain it seems that the symptoms of chills, fever, body aches, diarrhea and fever can be due to causes like Stomach flu or Viral Gastroenteritis, food poisoning, parasitic infection or Giardiasis etc..
A proper clinical evaluation and investigations like Blood tests, stool culture etc can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..
You should consult an Infectious Medicine Specialist and get evaluated..
You can be advised Antibiotics if there is bacterial infection while antiparasitic mediation like Albendazole can be given for Parasitic infestation..
Fluid replacement therapy, Loperamide for reducing loose motions and Tylenol can be given for fever and body aches..
Take a semi solid food with more of cereals, banana, rice, Yoghurt in diet..
